Be a Giver of Gifts - One Word at a Time

I am not sure what today may bring, but signs shall abound about us now. Tuesday morning is peaceful, quiet like a summer mist as it lifts off the water. Slight drizzles of rain here now, nurturing the growth yet to expose itself with the warmth of spring.

Daily works we must do. Get up and go forth. Touch lives, encourage others and know the strength within each of us. We can achieve unity in peace and community in love. Commit therefore this day not to be moved by errant drivers on the highway and more, to become a courteous driver ourselves. Attune ourselves to what is around us at any moment. Is there a kind word or deed we may extend to another soul? Is our day so busy (we think at times) that we should lapse our thinking that we are the only beings that matter? Have we determined to get only what we want to the detriment of our well being?

Philosophy of words, a meaning deeper than our thoughts, for God's ways are higher than our ways, His thoughts than our thoughts. Love is missing, choked out as a seed upon the rocky road that has no hope of finding fertile soil in which to grow. So has our media of communication replaced love with carnality, and ignorance. Shall we rather choose that thing which is good, that which is wholesome and right? Yes, I believe the struggle is not for the weak, but truth shall be availed of her daughters. Wisdom shall arise now because it is sought by her pupils. So shall we become emulsified in truth and strengthened by her promise.

Enough. Small portions will keep us from becoming to heavy to walk in our growth. Each line shall build upon a foundation, and let not sand be found beneath.

Let me encourage you to take a moment and view others and your surroundings from a determined perspective to love regardless of what may seem to be practical circumstances surrounding you. For against such is no law.

Enjoy the moment. Stop and be thankful it was created for you. Yes, you! Share love, share moments of joy and laughter. Share peace from within. Forgive. Now, while you are able. It's good to work and produce in this world, but be cautious not to work so hard in climbing that company ladder that when you finally get to the top, you stop and recall all the times you could have spent sharing love with your family. Then slowly, as you reflect back down that ladder, the realization that the ladder is, after all, leaning on the wrong house.

Take your moment. Break from habit. Kiss your loved one a little longer this morning. Change it up a little bit. Pack a note in that lunch for school just to let your child know their worth the extra effort. Plan a surprise babysitter to allow a spontaneous evening out with your spouse simply to celebrate the love and appreciation you have for them. Build up yourself also. Take a hot bath. Go for a nature walk. Read a biography of a proven leader. Become one yourself. Accept yourself. Know yourself. Know yourself what is true and valuable; for though the barn be built, it remains to be seen if we shall live to see it filled.

Go now and share love with someone this day. You deserve it and so do they. After all, love is a gift. Deeper than wells of living water, whose essence and properties abound only in those who choose to accept it.

Saturday Afternoon Coffee

I have just picked up one of the RADON Gas tests I placed from Thursday and have about an hour or so before I pick up the next test. I also placed another test earlier this morning.

Naturally, I stopped in the area BooksaMillion store for a quick read and a cup of Joe; Muggs that is. It has been cold most of the day. I must say it really feels nice to be warmed up a bit from the coffee. There are two very nice ladies behind the counter who continually banter back and forth with each other from family issues to the extremely loud "BOOM" sound that they heard while working the other night. In fact, this "BOOM" was heard over four counties as the sound waves bounced off the dense atmosphere back to earth and repeated itself several times. Turns out the noise was created from the finishing process of a rocket engine actually being baked in a large furnace while the temperature was raised in a calculated manner by the scientists and engineers in charge of the final result and what a result it was!

The "BOOM" was in fact expected, but came at a most inopportune time late in the evening and startled many residents who, of course, knew nothing of the event prior to its occurrence.

That's all this moment allows now, as I must finish the delectable flavor within my paper cup before it blends into a cold, random flavorless chill, not unlike the outdoors which I must now embrace. Really, the weather is only chilly but always nice to me.

Till next I write, I am . . .

Call In Your Questions

I wanted to give people relocating or those whose curiosity was peaked an opportunity to call for free and ask questions about our area. I'll select a few of the questions each day and answer them as best I am able.

You need to know that you are giving explicit permission to me to use an audio of your question without any reservations on the Internet.

If, however, you prefer I not use your recorded question on the Internet, just state that request when you call. I certainly will consider simply answering the question without posting the recording of your question with it.

Please check back often to see if your question is answered!

By the way, there are two bald eagles soaring high in this picture. You may need to click on it for a better view. See if you can locate them.

I look forward to hearing from you. So you see . . .

In that light, allow me to interject a side note to a friend... (Thank you for your new approach in discussions; that's important to communication and success. I truly am impressed and proud. Glad you called.)

Wednesday Fishing Trip - Lunar Eclipse

My first post to this new blog. It would be a fishing trip. What amazing luck.

We took this picture at the end of the day... whew!

I experienced an enjoyable day fishing near Goosepond Colony ( Fishing and Golf Course) Scottsboro, AL.

A friend of mine, who (annonimity dictates), being sick from working to many hours, and I had great fun fishing and discussing the local real estate markets in and around Huntsville.
After stopping by another friend's (now deceased) cabin on Lake Guntersville that was advertised for sale, we visited the local Waterfront Bait and Tackle store to pick up some extra fishing floats, lures and drinks.
After that, we determined to go and "wet some hooks".
Upon our arrival at the bridge we were to spend the afternoon fishing under, we wandered down the long winding pathway toward the waters edge. It should have actually been a shorter journey, but as luck had it, I was in the lead. Oh well. We found a good spot near some rocks and an old campfire, baited our hooks and cast them into the water. The Crappie kept biting.... so we kept feeding them and every now and then we actually caught a few.

The first fish I caught was the large mouth bass. It was something. The picture I took of my friend holding the fish was better; it was my camera though so I can't blame him at all. Maybe I can post the picture I took of him here later if he agrees.

We enjoyed a great sunset in between catching fish too. The clouds were rolling fluffs next to a solid line of clouds similar to dark wall clouds in stormy weather except these were not dark, but rather solid white like white fleece or cotton. Later we heard the whirring wings and observed the white necks of four large geese as they flew over our quiet fishing spot and settled into open water for the night.

At the end of the fishing, we managed to hoist our gear up to our vehicle (taking a much shorter route) and packed it in for the evening trip home. It was then I received the first of several calls from another friend who, after declaring a delightful enjoyment of their dinner, indicated we should observe the lunar eclipse about to occur. We did exactly that. Then, like the good sportsmen we are, went home and cleaned our catch.

There are a few more meager pictures. I might show more in later posts. My reality and life in the south is that we needed to turn on the car headlights just to get the pictures. It's nice to stop and smell the fish, not just the roses!

I hope you take time in your day to acknowledge and enjoy the spectacularly wondrous works in our world that we joyfully take absolutely no credit in their creation. Sunsets, friends, and wildlife... hmm... 'Nope, I didn't create any of them.

So, if you enjoy friends, fishing and fun... come visit us in Huntsville, AL. We have wildlife, state parks, and all sorts of outdoor recreation to enjoy. But, be sure to bring some friends and family to enjoy it with you.

Till next I write, I am living life . . .
